Hold On

Since leaving the hospital last Saturday Aaron started retaining fluids in his stomach and also in his ankles and feet. So, we scheduled a follow up appointment with his  doctor in Miami. After being reviewed by his doctor, he thought it was best to admit Aaron again and monitor his status. Aaron’s blood work revealed that his kidney was not functioning properly and an X-ray of his lungs revealed that the fluid had returned.

The doctors made the kidney function their first priority and gave Aaron some meds that would help jump start his kidney. Aaron did amazing and so did his kidney. His kidney function started getting better right away.

Next they decided to have Aaron go for another fluid extraction procedure. Aaron had this procedure done Friday morning and of course he did fantastic! Aaron’s team of doctors agreed that he should stay over the weekend, so they could monitor his kidney, the fluid in the lung and his fluid retention.

Today the doctors decided to give Aaron some meds that will help with the fluid retention he is experiencing throughout his body. They also had him go for another X-ray of his chest.

The X-ray revealed that the fluid is becoming a reoccurring problem. They are scheduling him for another fluid extraction procedure tomorrow and they are deciding if it will be best to put a catheter in his lung, so that it will be able to drain constantly. They are still not 100% sure why or what is causing the fluid build up in his lung, but they have discussed some reasons with us. We should know more next week.

Prayer Requests:
1. Wisdom for the doctors
2. Strength and comfort for Aaron
3. Aaron’s procedure tomorrow
4. Also please pray for us as a family as we walk beside Aaron through this journey

Aaron and I watched Pastor Tom this morning on our IPad and we are so encouraged by his message! We are definitely running to Him as our source of strength. We will maintain an attitude of worship and have the courage to hold on! We will keep “dipping” because we know that, “His power is made perfect in our weakness” 2 Cor. 12:9

We love you and THANK YOU so much for all your words of encouragement!
Aaron and Suzanne
