God Keeps His Promises

Wow, what an adventure this last weekend was! Aaron was admitted to the cancer center inpatient wing on Thursday and finally released Saturday morning…and his stay was definitely an adventure! Thursday was pretty much a whirlwind with the fluid extraction procedure, but Aaron pushed through like the strong fighter that he is. Unfortunately they were not able to fit in the port placement, so we ended up staying the night. Friday morning’s port placement procedure went exceptionally well! Aaron did great!

Aaron was unable to receive his weekly chemo on Thursday due to the fluid extraction procedure, so his treatment got pushed back a day. He received his treatment Friday evening and he ended up having to stay another night because he was just exhausted. Unfortunately the night before Aaron did not get much sleep because of his roommate. His poor roommate was in a lot of pain and very vocal about it. Finally on the second night the nurses moved Aaron to a private suite because it was getting out of control. Aaron was able to sleep in Saturday morning & woke up feeling refreshed and ready to go home!

Aaron is doing really well and definitely feels a lot better since the fluid was removed from his lung. His appetite is back up & his pain level has decreased significantly. We are continuing to praise God for this victory & we are so grateful for His amazing faithfulness. We have a new sign posted up in our home that we meditate on daily and it says that, “God keeps His promises.” Cancer is a daily battle for Aaron, but he feels that God is with him giving him the strength & confidence he needs to come out of this battle as a survivor. OUR HOPE IS IN HIM.

We love you!!!
