Hi friends!
Aaron just started his 2nd cycle of his “chemo” pills (Sutent) last week. We also met with his oncologist last Monday because Aaron was experiencing A LOT of bone aches & pain. They prescribed him a new pain medicine & also spoke with us about what to expect in his 2nd cycle of treatment.
The doctor said that usually with the 2nd cycle of Sutent we can expect either the same side effects he had last time, they could be the same or more intense…. He also said that with this 2nd cycle he could experience some new side effects, such as nausea and a more intense hand and foot syndrome (blisters).
This morning Aaron is starting to feel the nausea, chills and achy all over.
The doctor also set up his next scans!! Aaron will be scanned again in early September. The doctor said that specifically we want to see: the tumors shrinking, no growth in the current tumors & no new growth.
Prayer Requests for the next month:
- Side effects will be minimal & very manageable for Aaron (please pray specifically for NO NAUSEA)
- The bone aches & pains (especially in his mid-back & hips) will go away.
- The scans will reveal a significant shrinking of all tumors & that there is NO growth of current tumors & NO new growth. The doctor told us “not to expect a miracle”, but we know that with our God anything is possible! So we are continuing to pray for that miracle!
