After my yearly CT Scan I met with Dr. Surowitz. I was made aware that there looked as though there was a mass of some type being noted on the scan. Dr. Surowitz had me return this morning where he had an ultra sound done on the area. It confirmed that it is indeed a mass and he scheduled me to go immediately to see Dr. Wiita (the surgeon who removed my kidney back in 2008) for another opinion.
I just left Dr. Wiita’s office and the reports that were forwarded to him has indicated that there is a sizable mass in my intestinal area. The mass is being defined as “cystic” in nature. The doctor has currently ordered copies of the films of the past three years and are being picked up today to re-meet tomorrow morning with Dr. Wiita, at which time I will study these films and he will attempt to make a diagnosis.
We are praying that it is nothing more than harmless scar tissue or a benign cyst which will be confirmed by biopsy.
Please pray that the films will reveal with clarity that the mass is harmless scar tissue and will only require further monitoring.
